ibi Mobile App Connection Status

Your ibi supports Port Forward, Proxy Relay and Local Area Network connection types.

The router must support and have UPnP enabled to support the Port Forward network connection. It is not possible to configure Port Forward settings on your ibi device.

Use the steps below to check the network connection type using the ibi mobile app for iOS or Android.

  1. Open the ibi mobile app and login. Then tap the menu icon in the upper left corner

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Under current storage tap the name of your ibi

Your connection type will be displayed on the device screen

  • If the connection type is Direct, the mobile device is connecting to your ibi using Port Forward Connection.

  • If the connection type is Relay, the mobile device is connecting to your ibi using Proxy Relay Connection.

  • If the connection type is Local, the mobile device is connecting to your ibi using a Local Area Network Connection.
