- Ensure you are using the power adapter that came with your ibi device
- Ensure the ibi power adapter is plugged into a wall socket outlet instead of a power strip
- Turn the mobile phone Blue Tooth feature off and on
- Power Off and On the mobile phone
- Disconnect any external USB drive(s) or devices from your ibi
- Reboot your router and wait 10 to 15 minutes for ibi to come back online again
- Reboot ibi
- Remove the power cable from your ibi
- Wait a few minutes for your ibi drive to power down
- Insert the power cable into your ibi
- Wait at least 5 minutes for ibi to start up again
- The LED should be solid once the ibi is fully booted up
If your ibi's LED does not move to a solid state, check the LED status article - Ensure ibi is not connected to an unsupported Wi-Fi network type
- Check the network router to determine if Parental Controls have been enabled. Temporarily disable Parental Controls to determine if communications with ibi is being blocked.
- Check the network router Security Settings to determine if the setting is High, Medium or Low Temporarily configure Security Settings to the lowest possible setting to determine if communications with ibi is being blocked.
- Power off and then on the network router
- Connect ibi 2.4 GHz if you are having issues with 5 GHz
- Connect ibi to a different WiFi router and network using Connecting ibi to a different network
- Verify that no one has performed a 60 + second pin reset or a System Erase on your ibi device
Performing a System Erase requires a new setup process from the ibi Mobile app
IMPORTANT:
If your ibi's LED becomes solid immediately after applying power, it may not have completed the boot up sequence properly. Powering OFF and ON your ibi multiple times may cause the device to recover from the Solid White LED at power on state.
