Wi-Fi network is grayed out and Wi-Fi not supported message

Wi-Fi networks not supported by ibi will be grayed out.
Attempting to connect to an unsupported Wi-Fi network may result in a Wi-Fi not supported message. Successful connection to an unsupported network type will result in Device Offline and Slow Blinking LED.

     Wi-Fi is not supported
     ibi doesn't support this type of network.
     Please choose another network

ibi must be connected to a supported Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Change the Wi-Fi connected type and or security mode on the router to an ibi supported network type.
    Please refer to your router user manual for supported Wi-Fi standards and how to change to a supported Wi-Fi network type and security mode.
  2. Connect ibi to a different and supported Wi-Fi network type.

 

ibi Unsupported Wi-Fi Network Types and Security Modes

ibi does not support connecting to the following networks types.

  • 802.11 B (2.4GHz)
    Most Wi-Fi routers provide support for other 802.11 standards that will work with your ibi. Please refer to your router user manual for supported Wi-Fi standards and how to change to a supported Wi-Fi network type and security mode.
  • EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol)
    Wi-Fi networks that require a corporate or private certificate
  • Captive Portal
    Wi-Fi networks that require you to open a web browser and authenticate to gain access such Hotels, Coffee shops, Airports, Offices, etc..
  • WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)
    Not secure
