No thumbnails for 4k videos or HEIC files transferred using ibi Web, Desktop, Social Media and Cloud or USB Import

Thumbnail support for 4k videos and iOS HEIC files are supported when the content is added using the ibi mobile device. Thumbnails will not be generated for 4k videos or iOS HEIC files imported or transferred to ibi using other methods.


 Steps for getting thumbnails for 4K videos or iOS HEIC files

  1. Download the 4K video or HEIC directly to your mobile device (do not add the file to ibi using a third party app such as Dropbox).
  2. Open the ibi Mobile App.
  3. Tap the 3-line Menu at the top left hand corner.
  4. Tap ADD PHOTOS or File & Folders.
  5. Select the 4K video or iOS HEIC file you want to place on ibi.
  6. Tap on Add in the upper right hand corner.
  7. Wait for the video or iOS HEIC file upload to complete (larger files will take longer to upload).
  8. Locate the video or iOS HEIC in either Photos or Files & Folders (whichever location you chose).
  9. Thumbnail will have been created.
